When I was a kid, my mother raised us like she was raised...... Poor.  We always got the plain/greek yogurt that was given to us by the church.  We would take some sugar, I now use splenda and some lemon juice and mix it in and it taste oh so yummy.  I think its better than the lemon yogurt they sell at the store.  I have also tried the sugar free syrups, they are ok.  I also like to use the yogurt as a dip like for shrimp.  My kids love to have a little pineapple juice in it for making the dip sause sweet like at the resturant when they get cocnut shrimp.

You don' t have to eat the plain kind. I buy the blueberry Greek yogurt and it's yummy. It's the same amount of calories as Yoplait light, but has much more protein.

The fruit flavors are fairly high in carbs though, aren't they? Last I checked, I think it was like 20 g carbs for one serving.

For something sweet, I like to mix mine with SF pudding mix, any flavors.

For savory, I like to mix it with a couple of teaspoons of Knorr soup mix. Yum. Another favorite way is to top it with salsa, refried beans and shredded cheese.

I mix it with Hidden Valley Ranch dry dip packets. It's delicious! I eat it all the time. And have for weeks. Not sick of it yet! It's basically ranch chip dip. Mmmmmmmmmmm.

And I mix it with pureed chicken and some V8 soup. Top with parmesan cheese. Microwave for 30 seconds. So flipping tasty. Like a little casserole.

I happen to love Greek yogurt, but I like kefir and buttermilk even more.  All of these things have their flavor improved with plain artificial sweetener.  Kefir goes down very easily after surgery, and I find that it is a great replacement for protein shakes.

I love to mix it with a sliced half  banana or some strawberries. Its also really good with unsweetened applesauce and cinnamon. I also use it in place of sour cream, like when I make enchiladas I mix it in the filling. Some people like to add SF syrups, protein powder, or SF jello or pudding.

You can also use it to make a creamy dressing by mixing it with a tbsp of italian salad dressing, or oil, vinegar and herbs.

In addition to all the ideas already.... I mix in various flavors of the drink mixes. The lemonaide mix is so tart it'll make you pucker up, I love it! Kroger has a Peach and Whire Cranberry drink mix that's really good, too.

I also use greek yogurt in place of mayo for sandwiches and tuna/chicken/crab salad. A squirt of lemon juice and a sprinkle of Splenda and it tastes just like mayo to me.♠

You're just out of surgery, so you can't have it the way I eat it, but you'll get there eventually.  I take some frozen berries and microwave them for about 15 seconds, add some greek yogurt, a couple of Splenda packets, a sprinkling of grapenuts and a half a handful of almonds.  It's like having an icecream sundae!
