When do I buy new clothes???
Try some thrift shops like The Good Will & Salvation Army. You can find some good stuff there "in the meanwhile" - try when they have "a sale". It gets expensive really quick when you keep going down in size. Undergarments for me have to be new and of good/great quality - these too I found on sale and in bargain stores. You can find lots of clothes on sale.
It all depends on your budget. I didn't have money to waste - I discovered after doing it for awhile.
Good Luck,
Leila
I have bought some clothes in advance, but not a lot because I breezed through size 22. I started at a 26/28 and I'm just starting to get into 16's! Initially my weight loss was faster, and I breezed through the first few sizes. Luckily my Mom sews so she was able to alter a lot of my pants. I work in a professional position and dress up, and dress clothes are way too expensive!
I never thought I'd shop at a used store, but I have and love it. I have bought a lot at Kohl's because they had great sales and a few other places. I do not have good luck at Goodwill or Salvation Army, but I find awesome clothes at a consignment shop! I started selling all my clothes, and the money I made I used to buy new stuff!
Once you lost the initial weight, it's a lot easier buying in advance. Earlier this year I guessed I'd be in an XL top this fall, and I am. I'm thinking by end of winter I'll be in a L, and I have a few things ready to go. I keep what I call my "skinny drawer" and pull things out occasionally to try them on.
My weight loss has slowed ( I do have the band) so I'm staying in my sizes a bit longer before I shrink, which has been great on the wallet LOL
