Come in if you can handle tough love
I am officially quitting OH. What is wrong with everyone. Do we need to go back to school to learn how to treat people. OK so you ended up in a mens forum..Simple mistake then just be polite and explain that you may be in the wrong forum. Who cares if we are men or women. We all have or had the same goal of getting weight loss surgery and losing the weight to be happy and healthy. Yes men and women are different but there really is no need for such vulgar language. Fighting is just plain ridiculous. You are in most cases never gonna meet that person, so who cares what they say. Its hard when people call you ugly and fat, but just think we are all on this because we were all fat at one point and felt ugly. And so they have insecurities. Imagine the poor person that must live with such a vile person, at least you dont.
I understand how everyone feels after we hit a roadblock that we get frustrated because we dont think its working. But if you are only out a month, its gonna happen. We all hit stalls and will continue to happen for the first year....so dont worry about it and enjoy the ride.
Most of us on here are not medical folks. Its ok to ask questions about what kind of experiences people have had, but for the life of me I would never ask someone "What should I do", we are all different and only your doctor can tell you. Call your doctor and schedule an appt if you want the best and most accurate advice. Your life may just depend on it.
I'm curious why some people have the surgery if they are only a couple weeks out and already are asking when can I eat pasta, when is it safe to eat bread, and so on. Every doctor is different but in my opinion the standard of care should be standard. From all the stuff I have seen on line and what my doctor provided for me. I couldnt eat anything but pureed for 2 months. Then soft foods for month and then onto solids. Again I know we are all different and have different doctors. But I think you should ask those questions to your nutritionist, but you wont because you know they will tell you not to for quite a while.
We are not perfect, and I am not either by far. But the rule of thumb to live by is "trust your gut, if you think its wrong, it probably is". I am sorry if I have offended but these things have just been heavy on my mind.

No big loss.
We get the same questions over and over again. It's part of the deal, part of the game. It's how it is. WE need to support people regardless of where they come from, what they are doing, or how they are doing it. It does not matter which WLS type they choose, it is a responsibility to take care of the noobs.
My opinion only.
GBCF.... I didn't read past the "I'm quiting OH". Won't invest any time in someone that needs so much attention to just do what they should have done, with no need to announce it. Be sure to clear your cache, so you don't happen upon us again. ~ I am the proud wife of a Guatemalan, but most people call me Kimberley
Highest Known Weight = 370# / 59.7 bmi @ 5'6"
Current Weight = 168# / 26.4 bmi : fluctuates 5# either way @ 5'7" / more than 90% EWL
Normal BMI (24.9) = 159#: would have to compromise my muscle mass to get here without plastics, so this is not a goal.

Am I missing something? I thought thekrolls wrote a perfectly logical post. I read some of the hype the other day about girls in the boys locker room, but had to stop because both sides sounded so much like sixth graders. I normally see everyone being encouraging and uplifting, but that thread deteriorated into downright nasty.
Before you get after me, I'm just a normal married mom and grandma. Don't hate men or other women. Am grateful for these boards and the questions they answer.
Think some folks get mighty brave when on a board and say things they wouldn't say in person; at least I hope that's what it is.
Anyway, best of luck to each and every one of you losers!
