Cant I have anything for myself!!!  LOL!  I've been wanting my family to eat healthier and they do at dinner time because I cook it.  Now they are choosing to eat my snacks.  Apparently because Im eating it, it looks appealing.  Im just happy that they are all on board with me!!

That drives me crazy! My husband can (and does) eat whatever he wants and yet...he goes for my special stuff!! He needs to lose weight because he's 300 pounds, takes 7 blood pressure meds and has a host of problems. I agree, buying extra stuff is a great idea but....he doesn't stop at one or two of my treats. He would eat my last protein bar, popsicle or Jello and then eat a 1/2 gallon of ice cream! That is just ridiculous! I believe we should be able to have a few special things just for us. Now, if they are dieting with you, fine but if they are eating your last salmon fillet on a hunk of cheese bread with extra mayo then.....NOOOOO!!! I cook very healthy and then my hubby will add tons of bread and cheese to that healthy dish....accckkkk!! I feel ya!! Also, some of those things are very expensive!    Connie

that's my issue too.......some of these things are so darned expensive!!   Then there are some things which are very yummy, but as an afterthought I'm thinking, I don't want to eat it because too many carbs, so I almost hope my son will eat them.  Can't win sometimes  lol

The other night I bought a bag of soy crisps to try (ranch -yum) and he snatched onto the bag and said "OOH, I love these", so he was munchin' them and acting like he was gonna take em upstairs with him (he won't eat chips, so I wouldn't have been surprised that he liked them) and I said "Hey, those are  MINE!!"  LOL - He was just playin' around with me.  I don't mind if he has a few, but dang, save some for momma  :-)       Glad he doesn't like almonds.....now if I could eat cashews or pistachios, then I better put them under lock and key, cuz they'd be gone in a heartbeat  :-)   It's all good though.

My kids have been after my SF Jello, SF pudding, SF popsicles, 1% milk, and carb control smoothies.  I'm like...are you serious?  There's all kinds of kid food in this house!  But I'm secretly glad they like the SF stuff.  :)

My boyfriend will eat anything in the fridge that doesn't have a name on it. Many o time I have gone to get somthing that I was looking forward to eating and it was GONE.  So now I have a designated drawer in the fridge for all my special food. He now knows not to touch anything in there. I guess I trained him good cause I forgot about the rule and put lunchmeat and cheese in it and he never touched them til I said somthing.
As for non-perishables, I tell and show him right away what is mine and he is not to touch it.

Now I wouldn't mind sharing my food with him. It's just that he eats like a pig and a week's worth of food for me would be gone in a day if I let him.

get a small fride with a lock on it and put in your bedroom. Lock it up! My kids also take all my chocolate sugar free pudding, popsicles as well. I had enough of it as it wouldn't be there when I want it. So got a hold of one and keep my water, shakes, puddings in there. Even sometimes the watermelon. My daughter hoards the watermelon eats it all up right after i cut it up. And when I go back there is nothing left. ugh! They don't care if it is healthy on unhealthy they just want it because it is ours! lol

Really!!! I mean, WTF? You've bought Golden Crisp and Lucky Charms for yourself, but you're eating all my Special K and Rice Chex? Hello? The daughter is in my pudding and yogurt all the time. Her father tells her to ask before she eats, so I'm constantly asked for SF popsicles. Since when do they eat SF? And why can't follow his oen advice? Hmmm?

I guess I should be happy they're eating better. I've stopped buying foods with sugar and excess fat, etc.
