Ok,
So I am going to try and mix some protein in my coffee today????

Or heat up my protein shake??

I want to add protein in for the morning because I am such a rotten breakfast eater. My coffee last all morning long.

If I have a cup of decafe.... do I add a whole scoop? Can I mix it in my blender bottle first then heat it up in a cup??
I only have BSN Syntha-6 Mochaccino and some yucky vanilla samples (I haven't found a vanilla I like) so I am looking to try something.

I took today off, it is snowing and I am getting a cold sooooo........I want some warm protein.
Any thoughts??

From what I've heard, heat it up VERY slowly.  If you heat it up too quickly it will clump up.

I use protein in my coffee every morning..... the trick is to mix it with a little cool water first.... then add it to your hot coffee.... any thing over 130 degrees 'cooks' the protein hence the nasty clumpy stuff if you just dump the powder into your coffee....

Mix it with some lukewarm water at first, then add to your coffee and heat up more if needed. It clumps very easily in anything hot. I personally don't know how anyone could gag down protein in the morning in the form of shakes or powder in something. If I were you I would take the time to make an omelette and eat the protein instead! Much more enjoyable, with some sauteed peppers and onions and lots of cheese!

I have a lot of problems with solid foods in the morning - I drink protein coffee every (or almost) every day.
I made a cup of strong coffee, mix my protein powder in 2-4 oz of milk of water.  Then slowly - while stirring - add the coffee (8 oz) to the prot mix.  It may be micro for additional 10-20 sec - but if you get it too hot - it will get very nasty - so you will need to try again.

Sometimes I add RTD to my coffee. Instead of milk or sweeteners and then nuke it.

There was a recipe on here some time ago for  protein chi tea that you use 6 scoops of vanilla protein powder 3/4 c. of splenda, 3/4 c. instant tea decaf. and Chi tea season and clove.  You add a little bit of water and make a paste and then add 8oz of ho****er.  Make sure you make a paste first or it will be lumpy.  I love this.  You use 1/2 c. of mix. per cup.
