My suspicion is that you're more tired from dehydration than lack of protein. Be realistic with yourself. A lot of people go with the 30/60/90 rule. That is, at 30 days out, try to aim for 30g of protein a day. At 60 days, 60 grams... 90 days, 90 grams.
In terms of water, keep a measured container with you at all times and sip, sip, sip. Sip during commercial breaks when you watch TV. I had a timer that I'd set to go off every 8 minutes. Drove me nuts, but helped me to get in my water! I even set up timers on my Outlook. Helps drive the point home, lol.
Also, try Smar****er. It has electrolytes in it which can help with the dehydration a little better than spring water can.

Plain water feels so heavy, very hard to drink much. BUT, mix water with something else....
Today I took a V8 splash, poured about 4 ounces into my big cup at work, added 10 ounces of water and it was GREAT. Easy to drink, tasty. Repeated that a couple of times and got in lots of fluid without having a drink that was too sweet or that heavy leaded feeling of plain water.
Pick whatever flavored beverage you'd like, add some water, perhaps avoid plain water - see if that helps to get in more.

I am drinking ALL THE TIME, and I feel so full... I am starting to worry I am drinking too much. I just constantly drink water, or crystal light pink lemonade, and my protein drink (not liking those at all, but have some nectar on order, hopefully that will be better)... I just feel so full of liquid - can you drink too much?
Try the Chike Protein. You can order a Sample package and they will send you a sample of each flavor they have. They only charged me shipping for this.
I really loved all the flavors but Vanilla was best for me. www.chikenutrition.com
They also make what they call Protein "Bullets". They come in various flavors and strengths. I picked up some at Walmart which are 26 grams and it's like drinking jello before you refrigerate it. It's just a few ounces so it is not that much to get down. Two of these a day and you are already up to 52 grams.
I am currently looking for an unflavored protein so I will be able to mix it with my yogurt or pudding....or foods. Unfortunately Chike does not make one so I have put out a post asking folks about this to see if I can find one.
Hope this helps.

The protein bullets are not a good source of protein. In fact, they are pretty much worthless in terms of maintaining or building muscle mass -- they are pretty much empty calories.
They have a nitrogen component, which is needed for people who eat a great deal of meat protein -- but I don't think many WLS postops are in that category.. or at least not at least until a few years out.

I am two weeks out and am doing pretty good getting things down, I feel like drinking from a water bottle has helped me sooooo much in being able to get all of my fluids in. As far as protein I really like the Pure Protein drinks, they are already mixed and taste good, I drink them after dinner, tastes like chocolate milk to me....just make sure you shake it or stir it so all the good stuff does not go to the bottom....Hope this helps...
