I drink decaf coffee and it still sort of hurts and I am 10 weeks out.  I am not having any trouble with decaf tea, but i think u r asking about leaded, sorry!

Depends on who you ask.  Some say never, some say right away.  Some say only in moderation, some say drink as much as you want.

How about trying some decaf iced tea?

I'm a coffee drinker also.  I started about 30 days postop...1/2 caffeine 1/2 decaf with non sugar coffeemate.  It's yummy and I do about 2 cups daily sometimes 1/2 more but not often because it's time to start the water.  Good Luck Patty

I don't remember why, but my surgeon discourages coffee and caffeine drinks.

 Some surgeons discourage any drinks with caffeine.  I had full octane the morning after surgery in the hospital and have been drinking it ever since.

My doc said caffeine can cause ulcers in our pouch so i drink decaf. I have had caffeine once on accident and i was wired! you can get used to decaf, i did and i was a starbucks drinker, try it.
