Why Did You Bother?

Hi I am new here, and I am a nurse. I had WLS on March 21st. I did tons of research and talked to several doctors, including my OB/GYN, my surgeon, and my GP about the risks of getting pregnant again at the weight I am/was or getting pregnant after my weight stabilizes 12-18 months after surgery. They all said the same thing!!!! I have an almost 4 year old that I was in bed for 3 months due to high blood pressure during the pregnancy and then Diabetes. I AM CHILD BEARING AGE AND I DO PLAN ON HAVING ANOTHER CHILD!!!! All the Doctors said that the risks of pregnancy after the surgery were way lower than pregnancy while morbid obese!!! So excuse me for stepping in but you stepped on my toes and insulted a good friend of mine and I do not appreciate it at all!!! Think before you speak!!!

My own daughter had TWO PREGNANCIES 'pre-op' AND "TWO" pregnancies POST-OP. Pre-op, she had horrible problems... Her POST-op pregnancies were MUCH EASIER and she had NO problems! ALL FOUR children are healthy and beautiful!

sounds to me like someone has forgotten where she came from. humans make mistakes. good for you for not regaining but your experience =/= all human experience.

I haven't posted a lot here lately, as honestly with all the bickering I have had better things to do. In the mean time, I can not believe that the original poster is such a ***** to have said that a friend of mine should have had an abortion rather than have the wonderful child that she has.
Where in the hell do you get off saying something like this. First of all it is not your place to state one should or should not do with their own bodies, but then putting the life of a child in jeopardy at the same time.
There are many that have seizure disorders and have not had children at all. Beth had 3 wonderful children before surgery, and had an unfortunate situation after, it happens. Get off your ******g high horse, and think before you speak!!!
