Why Did You Bother?

"Its called responsiblity, for me it never ends and it fully encompasses all the actions."

*snork*
It's called guilt, and if it never ends for you, I feel for you.  Hopefully at some point you may be able to grasp that doing what is necessary to be healthy is not something to be ashamed or guilty about.

I don't know you at all, but these posts come across as someone who is just absolutely miserable with herself and terribly judgmental of others. So, no one of childbearing age should be allowed to have WLS? Some of us are having WLS so that we can have healthy pregnancies. There are dozens of women on the Pregnancy After WLS board that have healthy pregnancies and healthy children. As for MM's RH being linked to the pregnancy, RH IS dumping, though stronger than the most common symptoms. How can you say that is tied to pregnancy or even the seizure disorder? 30% of RNY patients dump. I have read about aLOT of people with RH and even seizure disorder post WLS who haven't had a pregnancy.

Transfer addictions exist with every addiction, not just food. Alcoholics give up the bottle and take up gambling, smoking, pills, shopping, eating... Just because you don't suffer with one of those addictions really doesn't give you the right to judge someone who "turned into an alcoholic." You say gaining weight makes you depressed. If you suffer from depression, you should know that depression causes weight gain. Psychological disorders cause weight gain. Feel free to put yourself up on a pedestal of WLS success. I truly hope none of the dozens of things that could happen to make your "squarely size six" body fall outside of your own vision of success happens to you.

Enjoy your success and rent a damn hall to celebrate your anniversary every year. No one can tell you how to live your life or take away what you want to celebrate. Just stop being so damn judgmental.
Pretty pretty please, don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f*ckin' perfect.

I just want to point out that Heidi didn't say "...no one of childbearing age should be allowed to have WLS..."
What she said was maybe people of child bearing age shouldn't have wls because the risk is too high.

My apologies. Within the large mess throwing blame at everyone *****gains for allowing themselves to fail or those with transfer addictions for becoming alcoholics, my head was about to explode. You are right. She just suggested perhaps WLS patients shouldn't have children because of high risks when medical evidence says absolutely otherwise.

Why do you always throw your mother in my face?

I am not a diabetic woman.

My seizures are NOT connected to blood sugar OR weight loss surgery.

I was TOLD to have an abortion during my first post op RNY pregnancy, I miscarried.  I chose not to abort the child who is now 4.5 years old.

Why are you putting guilt on people?
