What is too bad is that there are so many people eating just like you are.  They are eating half a turkey sandwich, are not having any problems, and are just not able to speak in public.  The fact that you are having physical problems does put you in a tough position with the people who have written a bible of what and what not can be eaten after weight loss surgery.

I hope someone else comes out of the closet and admits that we can be fine without protein shakes, without eating less than 40 carbs a day and without living in the gym.

I know your problems are not caused by what you are eating.  I hope things get straightened out for you and you can once again feel empowered as an advocate.

Ha, right.  Not only a Bible, but one in particular is releasing a New Testament.  O-o

Oooh..... um.... I'm supposed to live in the gym? DAG-NABBIT .... I must have forgotten that rule

Carbs under 40.....can I pretend that I count em adn that it's less than 40?

But I DO drink protein shakes.... I'm peculiar.... they're my preferred beverage.

I just hope you can find some answers and resolutions to your health problems. And anything you can do to keep people who don't care for you/go after you from affecting your life is the right choice to make.

 Thanks, JJ.

I will keep on.

The gut pains seems to be cyclical, it returned post surgery, so I perhaps need a real GI.

Do what works for you..isn't that how it should be. Don't censor yourself for any ones benefit except your own..and maybe your kids..lol. I look forward to reading your musings many years post-op. If I thought going in that there is no way I would ever have any downfalls, compactions, bad days, etc..then I would be uninformed and a freekin class A IDGIT! So don't get off the soap box for anything! Miss-informed, newbies, all the S-M-R-T folks, and even veterans need MM's positive and negative assessments about what's going on with our bodies and what we should and shouldn't put into them : )
