I'm not exactly familiar with that type of dieting, but I know any well rounded diet is fine after RNY. I would say to stick to whatever dieting plan that works for you and hope 10 pounds will come off over time. Just don't deprive yourself so too much trying to lose 10 pounds. You wouldn't want to put yourself in a deprive binge cycle.

It should not only help you get rid of the 10 pounds, but be excellent for your overall health.

With it's emphasis on lean protein (chicken, fish, veal) and fresh veges and fruit, healthy fats....olive oil etc.) it might be pretty similar to how you were eating as a post op.......no refined carbs etc. It's certainly a healthy diet as it emphasizes healthy food from local sources.......but food is only one part of the equation - particularly when you are a few years out and 10 pounds from goal. What's your exercise like? That might be the variable to explore. Susan

At this point out I think eating protein from solid sources is a better way to manage hunger. If you have trouble meeting protein goals because you can't eat protein in denser forms then absolutely.....you need to minimally get 60 grams per day. Drinking calories when you can get nutrients from food is never a good strategy if you're trying to lose. We rely on shakes in the beginning because we generally can't eat sufficient solid food ...but once we can.....any food that has more staying power will get you from meal to meal without the desire to graze etc. Susan
