 I bet you are wondering what SMET is.    Well smet is short for SO MUCH EASIER TO........
Since we have had our WLS we need to sometimes focus on how much easier it is to do things that "normal" people take for granted.    Here are some of my SMET items....feel free to share yours.

SInce my WLS it is SMET.......
Tie my shoes,
Get in and out of the car,
Walk and climb stairs,
Fit into a pubic restroom stall,
Buy clothing,
Fit into a booth at a restaurant,
Exercise,
Get up off furniture,

hold my granddaughter in my lap
cross my legs
take a "bath"

How come even though this is on the MB, it's still only TX people that play? LOL!

SMET:

shave certain areas
keep my clothes on hangers
hold a drink between my legs while driving
hold anything on my lap (yes - I have a lap now!)
get creative in the bedroom - heh

RUN!! I am an emergency responder RN in my hospital, and I can run now without feeling like I need to be resuscitated!!

SMET:

Buckle my seat belt.
Walk through tight spaces.
Sit in small chairs.
Cross my legs.
Wear high(er) heels.

SMET: 
Get down on the floor to love on my aging dog AND stand back up with ease

Go to a hotel and only need one standard size towel instead of packing my own bath sheets

Buy pretty bras and panties

Enjoy my front porch with a beautiful swing
 
To sleep without getting tangled up in a CPAP hose (and help out my sister who needed a CPAP machine and was able to use the one I no longer needed)

Do my own pedicures
