Hope everyone had a grand Monday .... as grand as Mondays can be ... snickers!


Walked 2 miles this morning ... then after work hit the beautiful trails of Rome, Georgia and walked another 5 miles.  That workout worked me over.  I really feel it in my legs and butt!  Alot of up and down, which I needed! According to SparkPeople, I burned 728 calories!

Eats:

B:  2 oz beef, 2 oz. chicken, 1 egg, 2 slices toast (50 calories double fiber wheat)

L:  Smoked chicken breast

S:  3/4 c. fatfree cottage cheese & NSA diced peaches

D:  4 oz. ham & veggie chips

Totals:  1279 calories, 66 carbs, 44 fat, 147 protein

Let me jump in.  Today has been  a hungry day and boy am I scared!

coffee with coffee mate and splenda

B:  homemade yogurt -1 cup with 2% milk and 1/2 cup Kashi cereal

L:  meat loaf - maybe 3 ounces; salad - 1/4 cup with ceasar dressing

coffee again with coffee mate and splenda in the p.m.

protein bar - 200 calories and 1 serving of almonds

1/4 protein shake

d:  roast beef with mushroom soup gravy; 1 heaping tablespoon instant mashed potatoes; and 1 heaping tablespoon okra with tomatoes and onions.


I'm not gaining, but I'm not losing.  I sure have been hungry today.

I did 30 minutes on the elliptical.

I am so impressed with your amount of protein. I have trouble getting 50 grams. I think I will have to start drinking protein shakes again.

Breakfast: Oatmeal with skiim milk, bananna, cinnimon, and honey
Snack: 1/2 cup navy beans
Lunch: 1/2 cup collard greens
Snack: Kashi golean bar
Snack: Chobani greek yogurt
Snack: Hand full of almonds
Dinner: Steel cut oatmeal with butter, skim milk, cinnimon, and raisins
Snack: 8oz skim milk

You must be eating vegetarian.  You must be doing something right by looking at the fact that you've met your goal!  Congrats!    I have been so hungry today.

Not vegetarian, I don't eat pork or beef, I still eat chicken and fish, but not daily.  I am working on trying to build more muscle, so I am trying to get more protein. 

I have those days where I feel like eating all day, those days make me nervous so I understand how you are feeling. 

I did run 3 miles today.

Oops sorry, didn't see this post before I posted the other one, lol.... !!! I eat talapia or salmon alot for my b'fast.  It is loaded with protein.  The more protein I eat, the less of other things I want.

I do love fish, I just don't eat it daily.  I probably eat it once or twice a week.

If I didn't eat meat, there's just no telling how much I would eat these days.  I think you're doing well.  I want my hunger to go hide again!

How did you get into running?  Sometimes I think I want to run.  Occasionally I'll walk and run a few steps but then I feel like I can't keep it up.

I also think of all of the loose skin bouncing if I'm in the gym on the treadmill and I get self aware and cut it out.  Just curious about how you got started and progressed.

I really started going to the gym regularly in October - before that I just walked.  When I first started, I could go no more than 3 minutes on the elliptical and now I'm up to 30.  Maybe I could run if i kind of have an idea how to get started.  Did you just start jogging and then increase it bit by bit?
