OT: Stupid Thread!

Posts that could have obviously been answered using the search feature.

before asking what protien is best, SEARCH!

Before asking what to pack for the hosptial, SEARCH!
Before asking if your doctor is a good doctor to go to SEARCH!

Just saying... some of those posts get repetitive and bog down the forum. I understand many newbies are looking for answers but they ALREADY EXIST!  Do the courteous thing and SEARCH before you POST!

I don't usually  post a  question unless AFTER I search,  IF I haven't  really found an answer.

Yesterday before I went shopping for post-op supplies I used search to find the info I needed.

While it is interesting to see how much people have lost in a certain amount of time that have had my surgery, the posts that I could do without are the , stall ones that have only been a few days or are ones that people commonly hit (3 or 4 week out stall). It happens... just like everyone tells you, if you KEEP tracking and following your guidelines, it will break at some point. Please stop making people say the same things

over
and
over
and
over.

God, don't get me started. I agree on all of the above. Especially the "I just had surgery and have terrible pain or bleeding"........ WHY ARE YOU HERE AND NOT CALLING YOUR SURGEON!!!!!!!  Geez, this forum would be the last place I would be thinking about.

my favorite stupid reply that we used to mock on the old R&R would be someone saying "I don't know the answer to your question but I'm sure someone will be along to help"

ok then, that was useful!

LOL I didn't mean to make you feel bad! Lots of people would rather have SOME reply than no reply, just one of my pet peeves!

Uh oh.  I've done it too D!  Guess you don't have to be a newbie to learn new things huh?

And come to think of it, I guess it WOULD be kind of irritating.  I just recently started doing MORE of it actually because there was a thread where someone bawled out all of the vets for reading the threads, but not responding.  So I was trying to be a Good Samaritan.  Really, I was.       =)

Or I love the people (I could name names on this one) who post about a problem that turns into a bit controversial.

The OP then complains about the lack of positive responses

And NEVER bothers to respond personally or even acknowlege the posts that WERE positive.

I love the oens where I also type out a big oll long response, and you go back later, and three or four of the one-liners get a "thanks" and your own post has no response at all...... like, did you think I had nothing BETTER to do than take my time to answer your question thoroughly?

Or the ones where you can tell the person is a few cards short of a deck, and volatile, so you respond with gentleness and kindness even though you KNOW you could be saying "ARE F*ing Kidding me?" ..... only to have your kind gentle response slammed with "You're the biggest ***** on the RNY board"

ME?

Watch your thoughts, for they become words.  Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.  Watch your habits, for they become character.
