Welcome to the WETEO thread.  Feel free to join in and be accountable.

Not sure how far out you are from your surgery, but your totals certainlly don't look too high.  Food looks great!

Keep up the good work!

Thanks Happy Peach! I will be three years out from RNY in Sept. and I'm battling 7 lbs. of regain. I don't know if I need more calories or what.

I think the first thing you need to do is try to figure out why you had a 7 lb regain.

I am also struggling with about a 7 lb. regain; however, I know exactly why, lol .... !  I stopped journalizizng and being accountable for everything I ate, I started eating more carbs and sugar, and wasn't as concientious about my water.

I started back to basics a few weeks ago, meaning I am now journalizing and posting my food, really trying to watch my carb intake, and fill up on proteins, and drink lots and lots of water.  I have been averaging between 1000 and 1200 calories.  I should be able to not only lose the regain but also the 10 lbs that will get me to my own personal goal.  I never reached it, and just figured since I stopped losing that this must be where I should be.  But in REALITY, it was because i was gradually eating more as time went by.  So, my goals are now to get down about 17 more lbs.  Good luck!

Well to be honest, I never really journaled what I ate, I just knew what worked for me and that's what I stuck to. I faithfully ate 3 small meals and three small snacks throughout the day and even though I on occasion had that pc of chocolate (mostly that time of month) I still had maintained well. I know that lately I haven't been eating on such a schedule so I am trying to get back to that and journaling what I eat. How is going back to basics working for you? Have you seen a drop in weight yet? I think sometimes the hardest part is not seeing immediate results and then we want to give-up. I am going to keep posting my food too and watching my refine carbs, they sneak in so easy! Maybe we could partner up and try this together, let me know what you think.

The first week of getting back on track resulted in a 7 lb weight loss.  I still have 17 more to go to get to where I want to be.  We should be able to lose weight just like we always did pre-surgery by counting our caloires, carbs and fats.  I walk 4 miles a day, 5 times a week also.  I know exactly why I stopped losing, and regained a few.  I haven't weighed in for my second week, but will be doing that tomorrow.  I would love to be any support I possibly can be for you, and I sure could use any support you have to offer.  I think the most important form of support would be to journalize your food and post daily.  That always helps me be more accountable for what I eat.
