I just logged into my insurance company's website and my surgery has been approved!  Now waiting fot the scheduler!!  This is really happening!!!!!!!

I'll be having RNY, I was hoping for VSG, but my insurance doesn't cover it.  :(

Congrats. I got my sugery date and my approval today. It is very exciting. I see your in VA Beach? Who is your sergon? I'm using gregory adams with bon secours. He is great so far.

I am going to Dr. Mark Fontana with Sentara.  No complaints except that they don't seem to be in any hurry...my anxiety is killing me!!

I think that the only thing in this process that's more exciting than the approval is getting the date. You won't regret this. My insurance wouldn't approve the sleeve either, but if you take the first year as an opportunity to develop new eating skills, you'll be fine...just avoid those white carbs.
