Got My Date!!!

One minute Ifeel like this can't come soon enough and th next I have a date in less than 2 weeks!!!

MAY 24TH!!!!!
 

This is my life changing date!

I start my liquid diet on the 17th.  My doc only requires one week.  if anyone has any tips I've got my ears open!

Awesome! I got my date yesterday! My date is May 25th! I'm excited and nervous at the same time. But I wish I could snap my finger and it's the morning of May 25th! I have to hold my nerves b/c it is right around the corner!

Congratulations!!!  The date will behere before you know it!  I am 2 weeks post-op and doing wonderful.  So, good luck  with the upcoming surgery!!!

I Have my date also. I am having mine done on the 18th of May. I have been going thru the program since April 2010. I am def ready for the surgery finally... just my nerves are kicking my butt!.Weird feeling sooooo happy and so scared/nervous at the same time. I follow the docs orders exactly and hope for the best! I hope the best for U also! Would luv to hear how everything goes =) 

I am also having my VSG surgery on may 24th lol. I have to do the liquid diet for 2 wks so you are lucky w/ only 1 wk. I could'nt keep the shakes down for some reason, I tried everything from ice cubs , milk , in a blender but it just was'nt happening. My dr has allowed me to use a tasteless powder that you would put in broth or crystal light and drink it down it is 28gms of protein in a scoop and I am cool w/ that. Ask if you can have a portion of fruit ea day by dr allows me 2 fruit portions size of a tennis ball per day, and lots of water. Hope this helps, stick w/ it because it is important to get rid of that fat around your liver..

Everyone having surgery should take their measurements, that way when you go into a stall you can measure yourself and see that you are loosing inches and not pounds at that time.  Also when you reach goal you can brag about all the inches you lost.

Pat I so agree with taking their measurements...I wish I would have found this site before I had my surgery.  I didnt even think about taking any measurements pre op...I hated the scale, pictures, so I have nothing except the weight that the doctor took at my appointments.  I am so frustrated that I have no before pics or anything.  I would love to know how many inches I lost.  So newbies please document everything, I see before pics and after pics of everyone and I could kick myself in the butt for not having one, I still see myself fat even though I know I lost 140 lbs...cant wait for my brain to catch up with everything else.
