Y'all were so RIGHT!
I'm just about 6 months out from my surgery (june 6th will be 6 exactly)....and I've lost 120+ pounds since then. Wow...what a ride so far!!! :)
I don't get to post very often...but I just had to pop in today to say THANK YOU
I've gotten such great advice here! A couple months ago my weight loss started to slow down and I was a bit concerned. I was told to track my food and protein grams carefully, drink more liquids, and to start trying to eat more, plus really hit the exercise and strength training. And I took the advice.....
I track everything I eat and try to hit 80-100 gr of protein a day. I keep track of how much I am drinking and make that a priority now. I upped my calorie intake a bit when I started going to the gym. I meet with a personal trainer once a week, and make a point of walking as much as I can. And, I can do low-impact aerobics now as well. My strength, balance and fitness level has increased SO MUCH since December. I'm only about halfway through my journey, but I feel so much better physically already. It's like being a new person. Before surgery I could hardly walk, and now I can walk without pain or being winded at all. It's Wonderful!!
Since I started keeping careful track of my food and liquids, and after adding in a lot of physical activity, I'm right back up to losing 3-4 pounds a week like I was months ago. Happy dance! Happy dance!
Thanks everyone! Your advice was right on the money!
