MONDAY GRATEFUL POST

 Morning Everyone,

Hope you had a good weekend.  Yesterday was my monthly OH Support Group.   It started out bad...we were accidently locked out of the building where our meeting was held...but it ended out good,  One of my members has a business down the street from where our meeting is usually held and she offered for us to hold it there.    Thank you again Le for that.    Hope to have a great week.   As you have figured out.....this is a post to verbalize what you are grateful for daily.    After all....we ALL have so very much in our lives to be grateful for....no matter how large or small it may be.   PLEASE feel free to share with us what you are grateful for today.   Today I am grateful for..........

Le opening up her business so we wouldn't have to have our SG meeting on the sidewalk,
For my WLS and all the choices available today for WLS,
For my Life and my Health,
Family and friends,
Faith and answered prayers,
My Friends here on OH,
For Eric Klein ( who started OH ) and all the staff members and message boards,
For Support Groups and all the encouragement and help that they provide for us all,
For my car, home, air conditioning, etc.
For my fur babies who love me unconditionally,
For Kim who works for OH setting up all the conferences all over the country for us all,
For the upcoming OH Conference, Sept. 9 - 10 in New Orleans, La.   Hope to see you there.

I am grateful for the freedom to worship God and the freedom of prayer.  I am not an overly religious being, and by that I mean I am not in church every time the doors are open; however, I am a strong believer in God and prayer.  I try to always include God in making big decisions in life and I pray daily for motivation to continue eating healthy and the energy to continue to exercise.  Before having WLS, I asked God for confirmation that this was in fact what I needed to do.  I was getting a little worried, and kept "listening" for him to give me the "go ahead."  Lol ..... I wanted to hear a clear voice from above that said "GO FOR IT GAY."  Ha! Well, it just doesn't happen like that.  We sometimes fail to realize when God is actuallly talking to us.  I was going through a bible study at the time and was watching a video .... and on that video ... it was like the person in it was talking directlly to me.  From that video I clearly heard what I needed to hear for me to proceed with my surgery.  God said, "Take my hand, and I will walk with you through this journey."  And, he has done exactly that! 

Didn't mean to go off on a "holy roller" tantrum, because I am definitely NOT that type person.  God has his hands full when it comes to ME, giggles!  But, I do try to live my life with character, integrity, and try to treat others with respect and compassion. 

There are so MANY MORE things I am grateful for .... my precious children to name a few .... my fur companion "Doodles," my two sisters and their families and all my many many dear friends.  I am so grateful for my health, my energy, my home, my two jobs, and the opportunity to walk around feeling "normal" and be so much stronger emotionally. 

 Amen Gay.    Trust me....I am not in church every time the doors are open either.   But you don't have to do that in order to worship and follow God.   Thank you for sharing with us and please don't let this be your last time to reply to this post.    I agree with how God answers our prayers...sometimes he gives us the thumbs up and we know without a doubt and sometimes he makes us use our brain he gave us to figure things out.   Have a blessed week.
