I had my rny September15, 2009. Then, I had 10 months of complications and was bounced from one hospital to another, then finally a nursing home for rehab.  As I was leaving the 2nd hospital to go to the nursing home, I was told that I would need long term nursing home care and be on oxygen with trake for the rest of my life.  Well, with a phenomenal support team (pulminologist, respiratory staff, physical therapist,  and all the people on staff),  one a year ago today, I was able leave the nursing home walking and breathing on my own.  LIFE IS SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is awesome!  I remember reading about all you went through.  Enjoy the rest of your life in your healthier, smaller body!

Thank you so much.  Looking back, it made me realize what phenomenal support staff I had at the nursing home, how it made me a stronger person, and, best of all, how God  was protecting me all the way. He still wants me around for a reason. Thanks again.
Kathy
