dehydration
ok I think I may be dehydrated and im drinking liquids as quickly as my pouch will let me. How do I know when its time to go to the hospital? (I had RNY 2 1/2 weeks ago)
Its my own fault.....spend the morning and some of the afternoon at the beach watching my daughter play sand soccer. Had water, but didn't drink it enough.

If you're feeling crappy enough to ask this question, then you're probably dehydrated enough to talk to your surgeon and possibly go get some fluids.
Once you get replumped, here's how to not do that again: 64 oz. of fluids can be consumed one tablespoon at a time, one tablespoon per minute, in 2 hours and 8 minutes. If you cannot find this much time in your day to consciously measure and take in your fluids, you're doing it wrong.
In other words, take a measuring tablespoon and a timer. Dip a tablespoon of fluid and swallow. Wait one minute, timed on the timer. Repeat. You have now consumed one fluid ounce. Repeat this 64 times in the course of your day. See what I mean? It's not hard. If you can't spent two hours and eight minutes a day on your post op healing care right now, you need to redo your daily schedule, k? :-)
