I need references for a Good surgeon in Mexico that performs the Sleeve surgery

Tracie, are you revising from an RNY to a sleeve?  It looked like you got the RNY in 2009?
If that is so, that increases the level of difficulty in undoing an RNY and creating a sleeve.  Please be careful in selecting your surgeon.  Cheapest ain't always the best.
And, while I'm asking nosy questions, have you researched the DS?

I'm so sorry, I have not had any surgeries.  I don't know how to change my status. At the last minute before surgery the insurance company informed me that they were reading from the wrong policy and the updated policy showed Gastric Bypass as an exclusion. I was distraught. Yes, I looked into the DS and chose not to have it.

I agree with posting this question on the vertical sleeve forum. You will also get replies for US cash pay options. I was cash pay and found a surgeon in Detroit area for 11000. Some of the top surgeons in Mexico are Aceves, Alverez,& Ramos-Kelly. There are also others which are good and less money but in more dangerous areas.

I use Dr.Aguirre in Ensenada, Mexico total cost was $9,700.00 back in 2005 didnt have any issues.

Me and my sis are currently researching for the sleeve for her and the plication for me.  We have found Dr. Almanza and Dr. Jaime Ponce de Leon in Mexico and prices are around $4500.00

They can give you package info and both are very nice.
Lots of pics and stuff, we are coming from Canada so it is a little scary without research.
