Veteran just starting my excersize routine.
Hi. Im 27 months out from my RNY and Ive lost 151 lbs, slid into a size 10 denim shorts this morning as if they were made for me, and have had no complications for the last 2 yrs and 3 months.
I had been stalled with my weight loss for several months. I didnt gain anything but didnt lose anything either. I decided to get things moving I was gonna start walking/running. I decided that it had to be a hell of alot easier to run with 192 lbs as opposed to 343 lbs. I was right. I walk/run at least 3 miles a day at a moderate speed (3 MPH), some days (time permitting) I can do 5 or 6 miles. Long story short, I love it! who knew that I would love to move! I can remember when excersize meant walking to the corner store for cake, candy, cookies and ice cream. I woke up this morning and had lost 2 lbs....that alone makes it worth it. so I wanted to put this out there in case this info could help anyone else.

Geez, you and I have a lot in common. I'm 22 months out from my rny and just started to excercise this past Tuesday.. I do the treadmill 3 days a week and alternate it with weight training. Who would have ever thought that me, excercise advoidence queen, would want to get my lazy a*** moving? My mother is still in shock.
