Everyone reacts differently to it after surgery, so the best advice I can give you is to drink at home first.

I just had a drink last night. 1 shot of vodka and a cup of water with some crystal light added. I'm only about 5 weeks out. It gave me no problems except I wanted to eat more when I came home!!

Ditto to Patrick. I've put my life back together but it was a long road to get here. I'm almost 6 years out.

What the **** are you thinking - if at all?? Were you not warned by your surgeon not to have alcohol for at least a year? ESPECIALLY in a new pouch? That during the weight loss phase it taxes your liver severely?? To say NOTHING of the empty calories??

Another bariatric statistic is born.

vkhill22:  You should *not* be drinking alcohol at all at 5 weeks out!  Extremely dangerous for your liver!  Please rethink this behaviour - I HIGHLY doubt your surgeon/NUT would advocate for booze this early!
