I have loved every minute of this journey. There have been difficult moments but for the most part it was a cake walk. I remember looking on this board and being so inspired by those who had WLS, met their goals and got their lives back. I am a big believer than no one surgery is right for everyone. They all give us the opportunity to get back up and keep living. Thanks for all the inspiration and support over the last few months. I am so thankful for my sleeve and all of you! If you're on the fence about WLS go for it, theres a whole world of awesomeness out there just waiting for you!!!!

Wow you look fabulous!  If you don't mind I have a few questions.. I was under the impression you needed to maintain weight loss for a year before a tuck?? Did you have a difficult time finding a doc?  Also, is this something you were able to get insurance to do?  TIA

Thanks… it really depends on your doctor. My WLS dr and plastics guy both said I was fine to go ahead once I was at (or within 10 pounds of goal) some doctors will ask you to maintain goal for a set period of time. What my plastics guy said was that asking you to wait is only to be sure you can maintain your weight, nothing in the sagging skin on my tummy would be changing in 6 months or a year so if I felt I could maintain the weight loss there was no reason not to move forward. So Id say if you are confident you have this thing under control, go for it. If it feels like a constant struggle still your probably better off waiting, know what I mean?  I had to pay for it all out of pocket.

Wow, thanks for sharing your journey!!

I'm saving for a tummy tuck.  On a pain scale of 1 to 10, how painful is it?  How much time do you think I would need to take off work?  I am at a desk all day, so no strenuous body demands.
