Hair extensions?

Hey all...I had thick strawberry blonde hair..it gave me confidence and was constantly complemented even at my heaviest. However, each day I am loosing a decent amount of hair. I've read that extensions might ruin the hair I have left but if this continues from 2.5 months until 6 months out...I wont have very much hair left. I'm 4 months out...any suggestions or experiences? I'm doing the protein and biotin...thanks! Nicole

U can rock shorter hair now ( thank God )

count on  nice thick hair at the ROOTs  as it grows .

take Ferritin  and zinc too  for maximal growth  .... shortages  cause thinning   after  6 month post  op

I used my hair extentions daily without any issues.. I did however avoid the "teasing" before clipping them in... The clip in only ....the glue ones are a PITA!

I also took the biotrin and the zinc...but make sure you eat something before you take it cause that zinc caused me some serious tummy pain!

I guess a wig would be better if your worried about the weight... since it just sits on top of your natural hair...

In the end its what makes you feel beautiful and confident! hair will always grow back!

It won't continue at the same pace, and it will NOT necessarily be done right at six months out. It could take longer. But it WILL almost assuredly grow back.

Try playing with wigs. They're lots of fun.

I love my hair extensions after the hair loss period. Clip in too like the other poster! You get used to them and make you feel really sexy. I am pregnant now and too hot to wear them and I don't feel nearly as womanly. As long as you don't get the glue in or tease your hair, it should not damage it further. Don't clip them too tight or you may get a headache. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice guys. When you say clip ins are those done at a salon? For those of you who cut your hair short..was the fall out less noticable?

Well, the only thing notable was the amount of hair in the shower;  being shorter there was less of it to pick up.   It eventually slowed and then stopped and then began to regrow.

It'll pass.

Don't worry--you'll be having too much fun trying to keep clothes on your body to worry about hair loss.

I got my clip in's at Sally's they are real hair and you can flat iron, curl, and blow dry them...just as your own hair..they are expensive... average about $100.00 per set... 4 pieces

I got the blonde and the black since I love the two tone look...you can also dye them if you can't find a good match to your own hair.

they had the fake  hair that is one piece..they are cheaper $30 ..but you can't get them hot ..i fould out the hard way, lol opening the oven to get dinner out will melt the ends and there pretty much trash after that!

I did the salon glue in once and she taught me to do it on my own....was just to much of a mess and it does damage your hair...I did this prior to surgery... not after..( plus the glue smells like crap!)
