Help!! I Need a Surgeon!

I have been going through the process of getting my surgery covered through my HMO, but now my job decides to switch to a PPO (as of Aug. 1st Blue Shield of Ca Spectrum). This plan will still cover the surgery but only 90% of it. I have done three months of my nutrition counseling, had my sleep apnea test done and have an appointment to pick up my C-PAP machine tomorrow. My question to everyone is who would you recommend as a surgeon? The doctor that my medical group goes through now is in San Diego and I am from Palm Springs, Ca. so I guess I am just trying to stay close to home since I now have the option to choose who I want to go with. I already have an appointment with Dr. Douglas Krahn in San Bernardino, but I am just a little (okay maybe not a little but a lot…LOL) concerned about the “hidden" fees that I always hear about. When I emailed his new patient coordinator she said that there are no program fees but there may be some fees that my insurance does not cover. Thanks in advance for all your help!!

My surgery was with Dr Krahn, and I wasn't charged program fees.  You do pay a co-pay at each office call, and it needs to be cash.  Good luck choosing.
One day at a time, and one meal at a time, and I WILL reach my goal!
