4 Days and Counting!!

I am four days away from my surgery and the nerves are really setting in. I am not at all afraid, but nervous as is normal, of course.  I have been fighting with well meaning friends who think I should have that "one last great meal"...One of them being a REGISTERED NURSE who should know better.  Anyway, I have been doing well with the pre-surgery diet, although I have been feeling slightly light headed for the last week.  I am interested in seeing if, and how much, weight I may have lost during the last three weeks leading up to surgery.
My support group is phenomenol and the prayers from friends and people I barely know is overwhelming.
My heart is full right now with the knowledge that, not only am I embarking on an entirely new life, but that there are far more people out there *****ally care than I thought.
I have also received support and encouragement here and that has been so very helpful.  Thanks to you all.  The journey is barely beginning..and it will be a grand adventure.

I start my  2 wk liquid diet next Monday and I have been tempted to have a "last meal" also...I think I will skip it though...I may have a little treat this week but the truth is...I've been having "GREAT MEALS" for the last several years and that's why I'm almost 300 lbs!

Sounds weird but I'm almost looking forward to the 2 week diet bc I know that means my surgery is around the corner!  Good luck to you and hope all goes well!

I am having bariatric surgery August 23 and I too am anxious to get there in the hospital and get it over with..waiting can be stressful..so I try to keep busy..I drink a lot of protein drims and ALMASED is my favoriate as it is high in amino acids and proteins is important to subude the appetite
Yes it is a grand adventure and I have talked to a lot of people who have had the surgery and 90% kept the weight off..and there is always some who no matter what the diet plan is ...they are there own worst enemies.
I try not to judge them as soon I will have the surgery and I am not an angel (YET)

Sometimes even the best of friends give out the worst advice

as always
