OT - need a new career

My PM was the Reader's Digest version of FleurDeLis' very informative post about HIM opportunities and then some.  She is spot on about coding:  I've been a damned good inpatient coder for 27 years.  Yet if I were to try to do the same for a physician's practice, they could go bankrupt until I got past the learning curve as the rules for each setting are completely different.  Anyone who tells you that coding can be learned with a couple of 2 day seminars probably went to the same school where WLS nutritionists learn that all we need after WLS is Flintstone gummies and a couple of Tums a day.
