Pre-Surgery Anxiety

Good morning everyone...

So I'm about 25 days away from surgery and I'm starting to get really anxious about it.  Yes I'm still excited about it - yes I'm still looking forward to sitting on the losers bench.  But I'm also worrying in advance about all the things that could possibly go wrong.

I really would love to hear from other people who have gone through this or who are going through this.

Thanks!

Good luck, this what i did, knock me out, do your thng, and let me wake up, getting to the hospital on the morning of your surgery is the hardes event you have to do, in 25 days i will see you on the other side, today is the beginnng of your new life, one day closer to your surgery day, absorb it, enjoy the ride, it is an awesome ride.

surgery is scary, I think being afraid is totally normal. I think the best way to deal with fear (not that I always do this, I am just trying) is to not fight it. go ahead and let yourself be afraid. feelings pass.

good luck, it has been nothing but worth it!

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

Just be scared, and do it anyway, if you want the surgery. It makes sense to be scared- it's major surgery requiring major detouring of your insides, and the follow through afterwards requires major life changes.

Keep putting one fott in front of the other!
