does your shoe size change?
I'm horrible. I'm so bad, that when my stomach heals after my panni, I'm buying a 2 piece bathing suit so I can show off and have my picture taken in it. I would show off 3 pictures: one at my orginal weight, one from last summer when I was Orlando last summer(about 50 lbs to goal), and the final one of me in the two piece. I'm 56 years old, 5'1", lost over 185 lbs., and proud of what I've accomplised so far. If nobody likes to see my excess skin, that's their problem not mine. Also, when the swelling goes down, I'm going to Victoria's Secret and get some sexy panties and bras. I'm old, not dead. God Bless my Jersey Attitude.
1) believe me, if you're that heavy at that height, you definitely have co-morbs, even if you haven't
really paid attention to them. High b/p, elevated blood glucose, aches and pains in joints, involuntary
incontinence when laughing or sneezing, are just a few of the problems we don't really notice until
we have to. ("There are none so blind as those who will not see" is more than just a song lyric!)
2) Yes, my show sizes did go down--not in length because there's not much you can do about
a size 10, but from extra wide to a medium, which was a bummer because I had some shoes
I'd LOVED but wouldn't stay on my feet any more. But on the good side, now I could go shopping
for some new ones! See, there is a silver lining to every cloud!!
Good luck in your journey, and please keep us posted on your progress.
Best wishes

Thanks everyone...I have silly wide feet and would enjoy prettier shoes. I'm having second, third thoughts about the surgery...of course..."seems extreme, just eat less and exercise more...why mutilate your body" kind of self talk. However, I am 49 and getting my preverbial **** together to do this is draining me.
I am not obsessed with food like I used to be (binger/purger lite in 20's) and don't hate myself...but it's such a fine line of food intake between losing and functioning that I don't seem to manage it for long.
