Five days away and hubby has a cold

I was just thinking about this and how I better not catch any colds before surgery, and then thinking, "oh what are the odds?"   He comes home, slobbers (kisses) all over me and then announces a couple of hours later that he thinks he is coming down with a cold.  (Confirmed it this morning)

Just what I need.  If I end up choked with a cold and have to postpone, it's gonna be a while because he is off on a five week trip starting on the 20th.

I can't even remember when I last had a cold and I might end up having one now.  Grrrr.....

 I had a horrible cold for a week before surgery.. they told me to come in on the day of surgery and they would determine if it was safe for the surgery ( I HATED not knowing for sure if I was having the surgery or not!!) when I got there I was about 80% better and they could care less.. and all was fine!  Stay away from hubby make him sleep on the sofa, good luck!

I actually had to take my hubby to the emergency room the evening before my surgery for his eye. He had something in it.

I wore a mask at the hospital as I was afraid of picking up anything that anyone might  have had. Good luck to you!

I had a horrible cold the day of the surgery but, since I didn't have a fever they went ahead with it.  Turns out that having to blow my nose and sneexing a lot helped me get rid of the gas really quickly and efficiently.  Of course, I was mortified with the sounds I was making while sneezing, but the nurses and docs were pleased!  Go figure.  Hidden blessings!
