He loves me to death ... he slurps my face and my hand and gives me the bestest kisses ... I love him ... wish I could have him or one like him ...
loving his mohawk haircut too...

OHHHHHHHHH I sooooooooo want a doggie ... NOW... isn't he tooooo cute?

but I can't have him ... not with 8 little weasels ... one looking more like an otter each day ... I have my 8 beautiful ferrets and ankle nippers so I have a handful... and then some ... they are all house and potty trained so they are free to roam ... and get into tons of trouble....

Like being wayyyyyyyyy too quiet for too long ... I fell asleep in my hammock and heard someone hissing at me.  I thought for a minute I was back home walking down Avenida Central and was getting a few wolf whistles here and there LOL ... I jumped up in a daze and heard the pppppppssstttttttt pssssssssstttttttttt psssssssssst hissing again ... it was my 'lil guy Finibeau who got into the empty Cuisinart box and could not figure out how to come out....

He tried again and then 2 heads popped up...his and my albino ferret Caspar...

then another one ... my shy and sly ferret Slinky...

OMG I OPENED THE BOX AND THERE THEY ALL WERE ... MY PANDORA BOX FILLED WITH FERRETS .... MY LOVEY DUVEY 6 BOYS AND 2 GIRLS...

Can you tell they are spoiled?

Because they are! as they are mine LOL...

Before and after I ALWAYS LOVED MY PET!!!!

AND I ALWAYS LOVED ME!!!! LOVE, LIKE CHARITY STARTS AT HOME .... that does not mean that sometimes I did not 'like' me ... but the good thing about that is that with love, forgiveness and acceptance there are grounds for improvement ... one day at a time...

Today I am embracing Joy and make it happen to me ... because as my friend wrote to me once ... ..."there is misery and joy in equal parts in this world. Misery will find us if we make ourselves a target. Joy is just waiting for us to acknowledge it. I find joy every day in all parts of my life and I just let it happen to me. Misery is there but I'm sure as hell not going to invite it in".....

Dedicating this poem to my friend Marcia (MSW WILL NOT SETTLE) who lost a very dear friend this morning to cancer.... may he RIP...wishing Marcia and his family strength and beautiful memories as they remember his dash...

The Dash Poem by Linda Ellis

I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning to the end.

He noted that first came the date of her birth
And spoke of the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years.

For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own,
The cars, the house, the cash,
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.

So think about this long and hard;
Are there things you’d like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
That can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough
To consider what’s true and real
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger
And show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives
Like we’ve never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect
And more often wear a smile,
Remembering that this special dash
Might only last a little while.

So when your eulogy is being read
With your life’s actions to rehash
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent your dash?

I know what you mean!  French Poodles are the most wonderful tempermented dogs.  And
so smart!!!

But you're right--eight ferrets are definitely enough of a pet load!!

The dog is adorable and has the most wonderful disposition.. he is my friend's who is moving away dog and if I could I would keep him ... he is a pup but way too big ... my dogs have always been small or teacups ...

The ferrets are not a pet load for me I love them an they take up little space ... I usually know just where to find them when they roam too ... but they are certainly inquisitive enough to aggravate the most even tempered dog.... .I can just imagine them driving him nuts ...or nipping at the wrong thing LOL .... they get along well with my neighbor's toy poodle but then they were all tiny together ...

edit... cause I can't type for nothing today LOL

Poodles, especially standard ones, are unbelievably high energy dogs! Ferrets would definitely have a hard time with one!

Your fur babies are so cute!!!

Thanks... I just love 'em... they are high energy too but manage to zonk themselves out cold for hours at a time ... which is good too LOL each one has a different personality and each compliment the other ... it is awesome especially as I bought each one and added them to the flock....they are not territorial at all....  I made this video last year when I bought home my albino Caspar ... he is like a big cat now.... and so purrrrrrrrrrrr-fectly friendly... check my ferret video out if you like.

Do I know that dog? He seems to be the cuddliest and most friendly dog and cute too.  My goodness, your mini Beau has grown a lot since the last set of pictures you shared and Sebastian is big one too.  Until I got my own dog I never realized just how much love and fun a pet can bring into the home.  This is pet therapy at its best.  Enjoy!

Yes you would know him LOL I wonder how?.... and now I have major problems with my DS wanting me to bring a big dog home ... you know it would work if they did not pull the crap they did with the ferrets .. promising to clean the litter boxes and keep the pens up to date all all this and that they were going to do both he and DH and it lasted for about one week if that much ... needless to say they were the ones to bring the first two home...Ask me why my DD and I and mostly I am stuck doing all the cleaning and maintenance and these two guys only put in play time with them? I mean too much play time at that I have to stop them from waking the furry critters up sometimes to play with them .. especially DS... these furry babies need a lot of sleep... they play hard and they sleep hard...
