Yes. You are decarbing. Its called the Atkins Flu. You will feel awful for 3-7 days. But it will all be worth it.

Yes, you'll just have to weather through it.  It will get better.

As hard as it is now,  it's better than after surgery.

Is your blood sugar OK?  My surgeon did not want me to do the pre-surgery diet as a diabetic, so I did not have to do it.  He was afraid it would mess with my blood sugars too much and told me to keep everything as is.

Hang in - I am sure others who have done it can offer you some info.

I had to do the pre-op diet for almost 4 weeks, so I feel your pain. It was the hardest thing ever! I kept a migraine for over a week of that. You're just detoxing from all that sugar/carbs that you're so used to having, it's totally normal.  I'm not sure if you're on liquids only, or if you can have any food at all. I was liquids only with protein bars allowed. One thing that helped me tremendously with the hunger thing was to make my protein shakes into a shake instead of a drink consistency. I just put the protein packet, ice and water into the blender and made it thick. It makes a LOT more, and it fills you up quickly. Try that!
