Why so militant?

Yeah...I imagine there ARE DSers who have had dental problems and I know for sure there are RnY people who are now in dentures.  Those are mostly Operator Error problems and my REAL problem is the one surgery that--no matter how compliant the patient is, can ruin your internal organs and is a threat from the minute you have that thing implanted.

But, I have been busy supporting my sister getting her VSG, which although it is not the most effective wls, it is the best choice for her right now.  And I really hope it works for her.



ETA...I even know of LapBand surgeons who--according to their colleagues--take a Huber neede to conventions and parties and such so tht they can pig out when they want to.

Good luck to your sister and the VSG, i have a friend who had it over a year ago and he is down 140lbs i think, last time we talked about it!

Negativity/flaming, etc., is everywhere.  Unfortunately, even on a support forum.  I have periodically disappeared from OH for a while, hoping to see it go away, but it's always here when I return.  I guess some things just never change. 

BUT, that being said, there are far more nice people here than there are those who like to bully, belittle, etc., so take what you can from those folks and ignore the rest. 

You are correct, and they have been a life line for me since the surgery.  I couldnt have made it without them.

There is a group of people here who have blinders on and are unable to see beyond their own surgery.  The block button comes in handy for those people.

Thanks for all the good advice.  I love to come and read what people are doing and see how I can use it or fit it into my life style. 

I will try to find a group on RNY  board also....  I did not know that the block would block just that person... Learn something new everyday.
