Are there bariatric stores in Las vegas area?

Thanks for the tip! But to clarify: I live in a country where protein and sugarfree stuff is very hard to get by, let alone good supplements like the calcet creamy bites. That is why I would love to stock up. I do use stuff from eggface recipes like, sugarfree jello in many flavours and sugarfree torani  or da vinci syrups; we simply do not have any of that here, so everything I use is imported :-)

This time in vegas I want to focus on getting calcet creamy bites for the rest of the year, maybe some chewable iron and sublingual B12 from celebrate, and some PB2 since I read it in many recipes and never have found it.

I also love the Oh yeah bars and Carbrite bars and Chocolite. The only bars we have here are atkins.

BUT.... of course the other focus will be shopping YAY! I am at 20 pounds fro my goal weight so by the time we go I will be 10 pounds or less, which means I will be able to shop for my permanent collection :-) I am hitting the Disney Store for  me and my kids, and have yet to find out what other stores are nice for me. Maybe some brand outlets? I like tommy hilfiger for example. I always used to shop at lane Bryant and Torrid whenever I was in the USA, now a whole new world opens up for me :-)

any chapel suggestions?  Thanks :-)

I understand WHY you are asking -- this is a treat for you -- you don't get to get this stuff at home.

I would definitely see about shipping to the hotel or a friend.

Even considering CALLING the companies.

PM me.

I don't know of any brick and mortar bariatric stores anywhere. I think there just isn't the market for such a place. Sorry.

I'm not sure what you want in the way of vites. Some generic vites that might not be so good or the real thing for WLS ppl. I also don't like to have things shipped to me there. You pay shipping and then pay the hotel a fee to hand you the box? Yeah, right! I had to pay $6 for a free replacement phone when mine died!

I have a friend there who collected my packages and I took her out for a quickie lunch and we had a great visit. She's one of us. If Im paying $6 for my package, then I want to laugh and have a good time. And it never hurts to know a local to take you to the places the locals use.

P.S.  My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.

I Know Michelle, but I do simply not know any locals there. And if I order 300$ worth of stuff, it still is a bit scary to trust a stranger with it :-)

I'll hop over on the nevada board and see what's up :-)

mainly the creamy bites are the thing I want a full suitcase of (allthough I am working with a ompany to import them over here) and I must say I am now using celebrates B12 quickmelt and also chewable iron and I like it, so that too.

Furthermore my fav brands are carbrite, healthsmart chocolite, oh yeah wafers, and I want to stock up on some of the more unusual flavours of sf torani and da vinci

You can get the Oh Yeah! wafers in some stories especially GNC and Vitamin Shoppe.

Grocery stores usually have the SF syrups and also World Plus Market.

I'm pretty sure you can find that stuff when you get there. It's the bariatric-labeled stuff that has to be ordered online.

However, some surgeons sell this stuff as part of their practice and you can pick it up at the office to avoid shipping fees. It might be worth asking on the Nevada board for a recommendation for a practice that does that.

actually, I've known my person there since 1999. Yeah, she's a BIT strange, LOL, with a heart of gold.

I don't know much about Vegas, but I have a travel tip that will free up more luggage space for you. Do not take any new clothes with you. Pack only outfits that you'd be getting rid of, anyway. Wear them and then throw them away.

You'll look less like a tourist and hence you'll be less of a target for pick pockets and other thieves. Plus you'll have all that free space in your luggage to carry treasures home.

Of the crowds of people you'll encounter, you need to impress no one and you'll never see them again, anyway.

Congratulations and enjoy your trip!
