You can't Facebook...

You cannot Facebook -- from a cruise ship. Can you?
It has been many years since my last cruise. My honeymoon was, in fact, a Caribbean Cruise, at 300+ lbs. We didn't have the interweb in my house (well, Facebook, we did have some nifty dial up AOL...) back then, in ye olden days of 1999.

(Hoping to "redo" this type of photo minus 170 and minus 200 lbs.)
On the ship in 1999, I spent much of the time eating. And, well, honeymooning. See also: falling off a Jet-Ski. I'm not a good swimmer. Just saying.
I don't know WHAT I am going to do while disconnected from the internet for a week. Combine that with my wanting to maintain a closer-to-normal body weight, I may have to sleep* for much of the week, and you know what...
I WELCOME THAT opportunity with open arms. I cannot WAIT to float away and disconnect for a week, with some of my favorite people.
(*Says the mom of four who still has a kid in her bed. *blink*)
Unlimited sleep, drink, food and sunshine. Bring it.
Join me -- and others -- on a boat in the Caribbean?

Let's cruise. Join us in the Caribbean.
When are you going? I am going on a cruise with my senior daughter and 3 other mother/daughter combos in April. It is a first cruise for all of us. The sad thing is I have never even been on this nice of a trip with my husband! We have 5 kids. You are doing the right thing and getting away alone! I wish we could have done it, but now with college costs for two, three kids still at home. I feel like I got backed into a corner with going on this trip, but am trying to get a better attitude. Our cruise ended up free because we had points on our credit card. That helps with the $$ pain.
And I will not be on facebook or on a computer, period. I plan to enjoy my nook!
