Stomach Bug

Ugh. I've been throwing up off and on since midnight. Is this something I should share with my surgeon? I know it's stomach bug related because one of my co-workers came in with it the other day. And if there is anyone who is usually prone to catching them, it's me. Since I have a band, I'm worried if I throw up too much it'll cause slippage. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I can do this...I know I can. It's just going to take time & patience.

I would make sure that you do not get dehydrated. It is up to you if you want to contact your doc but it might give you peace of mind if you do.

Get broth in if you can, Gatorade if you can tolerate it, saltines if you can keep it down, dry toast (these last two if you can tolerate dry foods with the band), try Theraflu as it will help sometimes or other OTC flu products, rest . . .

I had the same thing last week and my mother has it this week.  I think the stomach flu is going around.  The good news is that it only lasted 24 hours.
Do your best to keep sipping water to make sure you dont dehydrate.  If it goes on more than a couple of days, I would call my doc.
