Doing the Happy Dance...
...in my head, at least! I just found out that I did not tear my meniscus last week when the doggy knocked me down, so NO SURGERY is necessary!!! YAY!! I did tear my MCL, but all I need is another week off to rest it (would rather be at work cuz I'm bored to tears), PT for 6 weeks, and a knee brace for the next couple of months. But NO SURGERY!!!
@ shasta..I had surgery for a meniscus tear in October and then developed a blood clot so my recovery has been really slow..Im still going to physical therapy and still struggling to walk...How long did yours take to heal? And does it ever really get better? Any thoughts or suggestions on how to minimize the pain and discomfort? Thanks in advance :)
What a relief for you!

LOL! I love my job, but yes, when Friday comes I pretty happy. The Dr said that I could have gone back on Monday, but my job involves A LOT of walking. I can sometimes clock in anywhere from 3-5 miles a day, not including using the stairs. I work in one of the largest medical centers in NC, and I am all over the hospital everyday. The Doc is tentatively allowing me to go back next week as long as I go slow and stay off the stairs. Stiil, NO SURGERY!
