I worked with a lady whos sister had passed away during the summer after having WLS surgery the year before. She was consantly downing the surgery & telling everyone it had killed her. The truth was  the autopsy confirmed she died of natural causes. But this ladty would slam the surgery anyway.
I never told her, that I had the same surgery 4 years before her sister. It always baffled me why she did it until she started talking about the wrongful death suit they had filed against the doctor. They lost the wrongful death suit, so she was just resentful I guess & mourning her sister.
 Some people are so pesstimistic!!!
You will do great & just let what they say go in one ear & out the other. I know that is easier said than done.
Good Luck!!!

If we only had a nickle for every time this happens, we'd be able to vacation in Hawaii.

I have wondered this myself, but it reminds me that weight loss surgery is not the only place I have seen this happen.  Think back to when you were pregnant.  Don't know about you, but I heard tons of stories about how horrible labor and delivery was...

Why people do this I don't have a clue; however, I have learned from it and make a conscious effort to be very careful about anything I say with regard to labor and delivery as well as weight loss surgery.
