I am new just signed up today and learning my way around the site, this looks like a great place to get support. I am very nervous and scare about my surgery. I am having Gastric Bypass surgery. I've been in Kaiser's program for over a year and had some delays due to back surgery. I am anxious to get my surgery but I've had so much time to think about it..I have lost 29lbs so far not much I know but I couldn't exercise due to my back pain but that is improving slowly.

Any advise would be great!

Good luck! I just had my RNY May 14th. Had a few rough patches the first few days, but felt really good today. I only lost 13lbs before my surgery. Just remain confident in your decision.

Wow ur surgery was on Monday so glad you are doing well. I can't wait to say my surgery is finally behind me. Until yesterday I had my doubts about going through with it. I just lost my brother and had back surgery in 8/11 so I've had one delay after another. Then I found this site and all of you with encouragement, success stories and pics. I am more determined now in my decision to move forward and I love this site.

Good Luck to you..congrats on your surgery....get ready for an exciting time watching that scale move...you will jump outta bed each morning to get on that scale and clap with a big ol grin on your face...
