Sort of. I was approved for a circumferential lower body lift, breast lift/reduction, brachioplasty, and medial thigh lift.
The thigh left was left for a later day, with the rest scheduled for one shot. Because of the amount that was approved, my surgeons were able to do the fleur de lis/anchor (vertical portion of the tummy tuck) and extend the breast lines around to my back for an upper body lift at no additional cost.
I too have an HMO.
HOWEVER - I had documentation from my gyny about the need for the breast and arm work, documentation from my orthopedic guy and PT about the need for the lower body work, and documentation from my PCP about the need for ALL of it. My employer also purchased an insurance package that includes "medically necessary reconstruction," which is very different (to insurance companies anyway) from plastic surgery.
Moral of the story - first, check with your specific insurance provider about what reconstructive work is covered, and how they determine that. They may say none at all - DD has the same insurance company, and the same HMO, but her employer excluded any WLS or reconstructive surgeries subsequent to self-pay WLS. If they cover it as medically necessary, start calling all your doctors and asking them about what they can/will document for you.
Good luck with it!
Oh - my scars? At 17 months, you have to look and look hard to find them, although given all the work I had done, there are 20 feet of them (on a 5'4.75" person).

I am lucky, my insurance paid for a complete abdominoplasty with muscle tightening, the whole shebang. A lot of times they may cover a panniculectomy which is the hanging skin but you still get left with muffin top skin. I was so grateful mine did it all, it has been 4 months now and as swelling decreased I can see results more and more, and with no stomach skin and muffin top I look like I had a boob job as well.
