spaghetti-o's with meatballs!!!!!
Did Smart Dimensions tell you no more than 3 grams of sugar per serving?? They never told me that, in fact, they put Yoplait Light Yogurt on my meal plan and fed me it in the hospital and it has 14 grams per 6 ounces.
Do you have a different meal plan than most? I also see that you do not eat pasta, rice, etc...and that is on my meal plan.
Thanks!

I like Spaghetti-o's alot. I at first had'nt considered them an option because the pasta is a carb and all, but my son threw a can in the cart on our last shopping trip and as I was loading the cans in the cupboard I took the opertunity to compare them to the can of beef vegitable soup and guess what... they had more protien per serving ( wich is half a can) and not to high in sugar for me wich is 11g per serving or less. So I tried them. They went down good and stayed there
I think that we can eat more of them because they are soft and somewhat liquid and may squish out of the pouch a little. I split the can and ate half one day and the other half for breakfast the next day. I do not think that that pasta will expand in the belly because they have been sitting in a can with liquid for maybe a year allready and probably are done soaking up puffing up for sure. I appreciate them because I have trouble eating even at one month out I still
after many meals a day. I cannot eat chicken breast or rost pork those are on my ban list as of thursday! I can however eat rare steak with no problem
I am 4 weeks and 2 days post op and have lost 40lbs.
Hurray for the
spaghetti-o's

in my own defence i was wondering if she was allowed to have those,, and the amount is kinda high ,, I do not pass judement on anyone but if she was not allowed that and did not follow the surgens instructon, I was thinking maybe she tried it on her own,
I am so sorry if you took it that i was passing judement ..I would never thy to pass my self off as an expert in any field. i will try to hold my tonge and not answer newbies posts about there foods
I was eating "real" food when I got home from the hospital, too. Solid food within days. Also never had a leak test, never had to go on ANY sort of liquid diet (either pre OR post op), and also never had a complication! I'm 2 years post-op, at goal, and wear anything between a size 2-6. The only thing I can't tolerate is steak, and that's simply because I can't chew it well enough. I'm only posting this as a reminder that there is no "right" way. I eat less (alot less, haha!), eat healthy, and exercise OFTEN. Works for me.
Congratulations on your spaghetti-os! I think these little "treats" or whatever you call them, are what keep us sane. If it works for you and makes you happy, then keep it up!

Oh man, Anna!! You found my secret little food. I, too, found that a little bit of spaghettios with the franks was very good on my pouchie once I was allowed to eat real foods. My doc didn't let me eat them until 9 weeks out, but they sure were heaven!!!!
You do what works for you, keeping you eyes on the prize!
I don't eat the spaghettios anymore, because I can now tolerate chicken and all the other high protein stuff, but they sure did save my life for a while.
Congrats!!!!
BTW, I am down 123 lbs since january 28th of this year, so they did not do anything bad to me!
