XP- telephone support group has room for new members
My support group has room for new members, if anyone is interested. It's a telephone group. We meet via conference call. Group is every Tuesday night from 7:30 to 8:30 pm EST.
Currently the group is all women, but men are welcome also. Also, currently all group members are RNY patients, though people with other surgery types are welcome. The group tends to focus more on the mental and emotional aspects of surgery, so what type of surgery someone has don't much matter.
Group members take turns facilitating the meeting and the facilitator chooses the topic. Recent topics have included self-esteem, body image, food addiction, head hunger, and how we stay on track.
We're looking for people that can commit to attending most meetings, although we realize sometimes things come up. PM me if you're interested or have any questions.
