steroid weight gain - HELP - need info

i spoke to my pharmacist & he said very common to retain fluid in lower legs & feet on predinisone. 

per his advice, elevated my legs/feet above my heart for a couple of hours.  felt fluid move into my mid-legs, but not go away. 

per pharmacist, it should be mostly absorbed back into my body by monday & if not, he advised i call DR.

luckily ive never been hungry since my surgery over 5 years ago, so i had no problems with the steriods making me hungry, etc (or if they were trying to make me hungry i didnt notice? lol)

n any event, hopefully better soon.  just freaking out because of the scale to be honest.  i know it's the fluid - i can SEE and FEEL it in my feet & legs.  so i know it's not "fat" or real "weight gain".  n my MIND tells me that... just hard seeing the scale up 5 lbs in a week when that's NEVER happened before.

update - fluid swelling & extra weight totally gone as of this morning!  like pharmacist said, took no time @ all for my bod to reabsorb!
