Will I ever be able to eat these foods???

Another DSer here. I eat all those things. Well, except Caesar dressing, because I don't LIKE it---but I eat lots of other dressings, in abundance. I put butter on everything. (*grin*) I do limit the amount of rice I eat. Not because it bothers me, but because it's so high in carbs. Mostly I eat a little rice with a lot of protein.

Sure, you probably can -- it's more about should you.  It also depends on what surgery you had. I don't really like rice, but I eat all the other things on your list with no problems. I had the DS, and one of the dietary requirements of that surgery is that I have to actually take care to ensure I eat enough fat. So an extra yes to me on the butter in food and dressing.

Whatever surgery you had, be sure to understand what the dietary requirements are and then try to stick as closely to them as you can.

With my DS, I have to eat rice sparingly because it fills me up so quickly; but the rest of those I can have with no problems.

I eat lettuce and brown rice regularly. I use a margarine substitute. When I use salad dressing, I use low fat or no fat. I can pretty much eat anything...in moderation of course.

Not sure what procedure you are having but I had RNY. You are welcome to check out my blog (link below) I post what I eat (for the past 6 1/2 years)

Me: Yes Lettuce, No Rice by choice, Popcorn Yes, Butter Yes, I prefer to use it to flavor and cook in olive oil or Pam though. Caesar Dressing Yes but I make better dressings now with Greek yogurt (lower cals, fat & more protein and tastes better IMHO too)

You will be amazed at the variety of delicious things you can eat.

After a time you will be able to eat pretty much anything but after losing a ton of weight some just won't seem worth it anymore.

Yes to all for me. I don't worry about butter, and salad dressing. Popcorn is a bit of a slider food for me... can eat too much but I allow myself to have on occasiion. Rice tends to swell a bit and doesn't feel the greatest if you eat too much... but in tiny amounts it is ok. lettuce is fine for me.

I definitely can't do the rice and I have trouble with popcorn except maybe a few kernels.  The rest works just fine!

I eat all these foods and have never had a problem.

Went to the movie last night and had popcorn.  Granted, I don't eat an entire bag of popcorn.  I have a a few handfuls and I'm done.  I also had a salad for lunch.

I had the VSG/sleeve.
I can eat all the foods you mention. I do not eat popcorn because I hate it. Rice-rarely (brown only) because I like eating low carb.
