Ok so I'm wanting to get started for real this time on a walking routine & need some opinions on good walking shoes. I am flat footed & have no arches. What have you all found to be good walking shoes?

My favorite shoes to wear when I know I'll be on my feet are Sketchers.

There are several good brands out there, such as sketchers like the previous post mentioned.  Other brands would be New Balance and Nike.  You need something that is going to be comfortable and address the non arches  & flat foot issues.

I wear Asics cross trainers with a molded insole (orthotic).  Keeps my pelvis aligned.

I too have flat feet and no arches and my Brooks Cascadia 7 are made for feet like mine.  They are a trail shoe so I can wear them on the trail or off.  I got mine at REI.

New Balance makes great walking shoes.  Suggest you go to a running store (not foot locker, a REAL running store), and have them fit you and recommend a product...have them recommend an insert for your flat feet too...

Some of the hands down best shoes I've bought were from Propet, they are a French company who make some really great shoes. 1,000 miles/6 month guarantee. I always rebuy for my walking needs. Usually around $40-50 a pair and in good styles. You should be able to find them on Amazon. Some folks are leery on buying from online but I found some comfortable 14 5E from them and haven't looked back.

On another note, anyone want to trade feet? I don't care to walk around with flippers attached all the time.

I love New Balance and they make some for added support with a roll bar that helps keep your foot aligned correctly.
