I'd be happy to tell your co-worker how to cleanse his colon.

I had a few experts around me in the beginning, but I would just nod and smile (they knew I was not listening, but I played nice). Losing the weight and keeping it off has shut them up. I also changed jobs so even though I am open about my surgery, it does not define me. They have only known me as an average sized person.

I know the feeling.  I work for WW and most of the leaders think they know what's right for ALL types of wls;

people *****spond like you just did are the reason i hardly post or comment anymore.

people here dont take into consideration that everyone is different. i have had people on here tear into me over stuff in the past, simple questions, or photos ive posted.

what works for some doesnt work for others. i really cant stand the way that everyone here think that they know best. research, expert, professional or not.

this community is full of a bunch of people who act like they are superior.

Exactly. I try to keep coming here because I think I might help someone. Support does not necessarily mean telling people what they want to hear.

Well, might I just say THANK YOU to the "stick up your butt" moron that graciously deactivated before I got to the block button.

Now, back to the business of SUPPORTING each other.............

I don't run into too many "experts" because seriously, I am one!......I've researched my surgery and lifestyle for years and am a "go to" person for others that have had RNY surgery.  Now, I'm not "tooting" my own horn; that is just my nature.....I thrive on research and education.  And I like to share what I've learned....and I'm always learning more....what I DO NOT do is offer unsolicited advice!

Some folks just don't have a filter....I don't think they mean harm, but they just don't possess the social graces to graze amongst the well bred!!
