Grits / Dumping ??

So last night i decided to try grits as its part of my stage 2 Soft /puree after a few bites i felt as if it was way too heavy on my pouch so i stopped. 5min or so after that  i was balling in pain and all biologic fluids begun to run along with gas and burping non stop. it lasted all night. It made me super weak. I am thinking this is Dumping ?? Has any one dumped on grits ??

Preparation of grits was with water no butter only a lil salt pepper and cheese . 

I have stuck to my dr recommendations so this was very unexpected.

I didn't try grits yet, but I have done oatmeal. Was it maybe too thick and clumped up in your pouch?  If not, it may simply be one of those foods you cannot tolerate right now.  My surgeon's advice for those foods is to wait a week or two and try again.

It could be dumping, or it could be that the grains just expand too much in your guts.  We're talking coarse corn meal, right?  (I really don't know - we don't eat that stuff up north  ;P  )  Probably way too much in the carb department.

well it is coarse but i put it in my blender prior to cooking it and i made it soupy as suggested by my Nut.  i only had about 3 bites from a baby spoon so i doubt i ate too much

You pouch just does not like it.  Just because. You can try that 2-3 weeks from now.

Grits are way too high-carb. You should be focusing on protein.

Avoid things that expand in liquids for a while.  Early out, I about killed myself with oatmeal.
