I mostly feel relieved. I did it, I made it thru to the other side and I am like a newborn baby starting over again, knowing learning what to eat, what not to, listening to my body, and taking things slowly, learning to be more patient. I feel optimistic, knowing what lies ahead, knowing I'll probably trip up sometimes but to recognize it and keep pushing on, that this is for life & I'm taking charge. I feel empowered I have people routing me on & this oh community has been so great to have too. Your surgery will be here before you know it & the people here are routing for you too!

Oh man I needed to hear this!  I jus****ched a video of the rny gastric bypass surgery and it kinda scared me lol... But reading your message reminds me that this is all worth it.  And you are so right, this OH community has been such an amazing tool for me pre op and I plan on maintaining this even post op.  I have learned so much from everyone.

Let me ask you this... What was/is your weakness and how do you overcome it? For me I have recognized that my pitfall was 9pm - midnight! That's when I'm most hungry so I've been forcing myself to sleep earlier lol.  I'm trying to come up with other coping mechanisms lol

My weakness is for sweets. I can't say that I'll overcome it I think I'll always have a craving sometimes for sweets, but I find low sugar alternatives & I keep in my mind having "real sweets" only leads me to having more sweets, crashing etc, etc. When I do give in I keep it at that 1 or 2 sweets, no more, followed by copious amts of water. LOL

I liked it, thought it was pretty good. I mostly wanted a tea that would clamp down on my hunger pangs and give me a boost of energy which it definitely does. I have to stay away from caffeine for awhile and this is a nice alternative. I put in a little of nectrasse sugar and I'm good to go.

It looks like you are stocked up. All sounds familiar to what I had for my liquid diet. I used the Premier Protein Shakes. My doctor said I could do the Bariatric Advantage shakes but I didn't like the taste and they were expensive. I bought Premier and a bulk food store to save money. I also all that you mentioned. It's tough but well worth it. After the surgery you probably won't be hungry for anything so even though you will still be on the diet, it will be much, much easier. Good luck and Congrats

Hehe yeah I think I am fully stocked I have so much broth! And tons of protein powder lol.  I can't wait to not feel hungry and force myself to drink... Sounds strange but I can't wait for the feeling lol.  Thank you so much for your response :-)
